Meet the Teams

Limelight Elite Dance is starting its 2024 season soon! To become a team member, please attend tryouts/auditions in May 2024.  Ages 4+, teams are divided based on age. Here are the anticipated LED dance teams for season 2:

 

Teams: 

Youth - Grades 6-8

Mini - Grades 3-5
Tiny -Grades 1-2
Mascots -Grades PreK-1

What to expect: (2024)

All LED Competitive Teams will attend approximately 5 Michigan-based All-Star dance competitions. 
Mini and Youth teams may also have the opportunity to compete at Nationals, located in Florida. 

Limelight Elite team schedules run year-round, with a few small breaks throughout the season. Every team trains in Acrobatic arts and ballet technique, in addition to their competition dance routines. Teams may compete in Hip-Hip, Pom, and Jazz. As a team member, you can expect to practice three times a week, (minimum of 3 hours total for Mascots through 6 hours weekly for Youth.) Additional Classes will also be offered exclusively to team members, to ensure that any dancer who strives to further refine their dance skills has the resources to do so.  Throughout the season, teammates will also be given various dance opportunities such as camps, clinics, and community events.
